It’s been one month since I started my Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs at School Raising, an online school-oriented crowdfunding platform based in Berlin.
I began this experience with the goal of learning methods and principles applied in assessing Social Return on Investment and evaluating the social impact of School Raising’s projects.
During the first three weeks, with the help of the HE Guglielmo Apolloni, I became acquainted with SR activities and I began to study methological tools to conduct an SROI analysis.
Last week I started to set up some questionnaires for students, teachers, companies and other stakeholders in crowdfunding campaigns. As I have a master’s degree in Sociology, I’m glad to make use of my academic skills and support the School Raising team with my sociological perspective. Furthermore, I am sure that these new competences will be very important to develop new services for my future business.
We work in a pleasant coworking space in Neukölln, a very dynamic district of Berlin where a lot of startups are located. I enjoy working in an international environment and having the opportunity to speak several languages everyday (Italian, English, French and German).
Therefore my first month of EYE has been very fruitful. Our main goal for the coming week is to finish the questionnaires and thus carry on with the SROI analysis. I’ll tell you about it in the next submission.
