Looking back at the first half of my exchange, I can say that the experience has been both professionally stimulating and personally enriching. Working alongside my Host Entrepreneur has given me the opportunity to experience a completely different entrepreneurial environment, where strategic thinking, international collaboration, and social impact are closely interconnected.

During these months, I have been actively involved in analysing Afrilanthropy’s digital ecosystem, identifying opportunities to improve its online presence and supporting the development of more structured digital processes. Beyond the technical aspects, what has been most valuable has been the continuous exchange of ideas. Every discussion has provided new perspectives on how digital innovation can support organisations operating in the impact investing and social entrepreneurship sectors.

One of the biggest challenges has been adapting my approach to an organisation whose priorities are different from those of a traditional commercial business. Instead of focusing only on digital performance, I have learned to consider how technology can also strengthen relationships with stakeholders, partners, and beneficiaries while supporting long-term social impact. This required me to rethink some of my assumptions and become more flexible in my problem-solving approach.

I believe that the objectives of the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs programme are being successfully achieved. The collaboration has been based on mutual learning rather than a traditional mentor–student relationship. While I have benefited from the Host Entrepreneur’s extensive international experience, I have also been able to contribute with my own expertise in digital strategy and web development, creating a genuine exchange of knowledge.

For the second half of the programme, I would like to place even greater emphasis on transforming the ideas developed so far into practical and scalable digital solutions. I also hope to deepen my understanding of international partnerships and explore how digital tools can further support organisations working in the social impact ecosystem.

Overall, this experience is helping me grow not only as a digital professional but also as an entrepreneur with a broader international perspective. It is confirming the importance of combining innovation, strategic thinking, and collaboration to create sustainable value.
