I have reached the 18th week of my EYE, the last two weeks have been intense, I have dealt with the issue of competition with HO, which manages a restaurant in the Spanish chain La Sureña in franchising. He told me about a restaurant that is located in Madrid and which is called “La Risueña”, in addition to the similarity with the name of the chain of “La Sureña” also the style of furniture and the products served to customers have many similarities with La Sureña.
Obviously, the La Sureña brand is a registered trademark, so there is a court case against the owners of the La Risueña brand. I explained that in addition to the legal routes to defend yourself from the competition it is important to be able to differentiate, with the brand, with the furnishings of the premises and with the products served to customers, all this to retain customers and create in the imagination of potential customers a distinctive sign, useful for satisfying a need.
