My third and last month at Bpigs is just started. During the past weeks I helped the team to close the November/December issue and, after thousands of printed copies arrived, we delivered them in person.

This aspect of working at an independent magazine is pretty interesting, because that is the time when you get in real contact with all the magazine members. You bring the city map related to all the art spaces run in Berlin and that you have designed by yourself and finally go around the city to ring the bell door of your members. They welcome you with a truly enthusiasm while keeping their favorite Berlin guide.

After ending the deliveries, we have started to build new collaborations with festivals and events that will take place in December. I am working as managing editor’s assistant, so I am taking part to all the managing activities concerning the administration of the magazine and public relations with the members.

While going to visit art spaces and cultural institutions, thinking about new partnerships and reinforcing old ones, I am having the chance to know more and more about the Berlin cultural sector and then to make my reflections on how I would like to and should manage my own publishing business.

Time is running out, but let’s see what I will learn more from the Bpigs team.
