April has been quite an eventful and challenging month. The University Easter holidays, which dragged for two weeks, impacted on our students level of attendance, as most of them used this period to travel around or visiting their family.
At the same time, we were able to open some new courses and private classes, thanks both to the arrival of a new intern, helping with the workload, and some new students who need to quickly and effectively prepare their language exams. As we are approaching the end of the year, we are in the process of opening some intensive courses for the preparation of the Cambridge exam. These are a quite interesting experience, as we need to spend much more time than usual with the same students each week. This means that we need to come up we new ideas to make our lessons interesting and different, introducing as much new language as possible without overburdening our students and making sure they can really acquire it.
This month we have also been thinking about new marketing strategies and possible plans to promote the Academy and attract new students. We met and brainstormed some ideas, which we need now to further develop and apply.
