When I discovered Erasmus for young entrepreneurs I immediately looked for a young HE that loves art and crafts as much as I do. I wanted to learn more about small companies, because it is always my first choice when I look for a job at the moment. When i looked at Bettina’s profile on the platform, I was surprised because she and her company were a good representation of what I wanted. I started this experience meeting Bettina, on my first day of work, the location of the shop was amazing, better than I was expecting, in a beautiful square surrounded by orange trees We immediately connected through our shared passion for craftsmanship and the unique value of handmade creations. Our collaboration was fueled by a mutual love for the city of Granada, which is at the same time our home and our primary inspiration.
A key highlight of our partnership was our common goal: a deep interest in working with local artists and artisans.
During my time at NoNINà Locart, I managed sales and customer relations while conducting in-depth market research on our diverse clientele. By engaging with both international tourists and Spanish locals, I identified a clear shift in consumer behavior: a rejection of mass-produced souvenirs in favor of authentic, artistic storytelling. All our clients searched for a genuine connection to the city, valuing our unique proposition of showcasing Granada through the eyes of 30 different resident artists.
After that, I developed a new Flamenco-inspired collection, ensuring it remained consistent with the company and shop’s DNA. By mixing the art of flamenco with the iconography of Granada, we successfully launched a line that met customer needs while maintaining artistic integrity. My relationship with Bettina, the HE was very enriching, defined by professional respect and a transparent dialogue that allowed a continuous flow of creative perspectives.
The collaboration with NoNINà Locart was exceptionally productive, with a great support of Bettina during all the phases. The final part was a successful development of a new Flamenco-themed collection. We managed the entire creative process, from initial ideation and conceptual design, revising if the real product matches to the idea we had, and to final production. Right now, completed all development phases, these new products are now transitioning to the retail shop, where they will be sold directly in-store. Furthermore, my hands-on experience on sales allowed me to gain invaluable insights into our audience’s preferences and establish a direct relationship with them, effectively laying the groundwork and building connections with my new future clientele.
My time at NoNINà Locart was a combination of art and human connections . Developing a Flamenco collection while building direct customer ties allowed me to translate my vision of Granada into a commercial reality. A truly productive journey from initial ideation to the realisation.
