I am 25 years old and a trained carpenter with a strong interest in craftsmanship and entrepreneurship. My business idea, MicroCamper-Kits, focuses on modular wooden kits that convert small cars into affordable micro campers, combining sustainability, functionality, and simple design.

My Host Entrepreneur, Domingo Rides, is based in Spain and works as an industrial mechanic specializing in custom camper and vehicle builds. He independently built his workshop and combines technical precision with creative problem-solving. Our complementary backgrounds created a strong and productive cooperation.

I discovered Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs online while looking for international entrepreneurial experience. I joined the program to further develop my business idea, learn from an experienced entrepreneur, and gain insight into running a small business abroad. The exchange met my expectations through hands-on collaboration, skill development, and valuable professional and personal growth.

During my EYE stay, I was actively involved in the development and improvement of modular MicroCamper kits together with my Host Entrepreneur. Our cooperation was based on close, hands-on collaboration and daily exchange rather than supervision. I contributed my carpentry skills to the design of wooden modules, connection systems, and interior layouts, while my Host shared his expertise in industrial mechanics, welding, and working on vehicle structures.

We worked together on building and testing a first prototype. I participated in workshop planning, material selection, supplier meetings, and discussions on production efficiency and cost optimization. We also exchanged ideas on market requirements, customer expectations, and business development strategies.

The relationship with my Host was open and cooperative, with mutual learning, shared problem-solving, and joint decision-making, creating a strong professional exchange that benefited both sides.

The exchange provided significant professional and personal benefits. I developed new technical skills in industrial mechanics, welding, vehicle-related construction, and small-series production processes. At the same time, I strengthened my entrepreneurial skills by gaining insights into supplier management, cost calculation, workshop organization, and market adaptation.

The cooperation created strong future prospects, including the possibility of continued collaboration on MicroCamper projects and knowledge exchange between our businesses. Valuable contacts were made with suppliers, customers, and other entrepreneurs in the camper and outdoor sector, supporting future networking and potential partnerships.

Overall, the exchange increased my confidence as a young entrepreneur, improved my problem-solving abilities, and helped me refine my business idea into a more market-ready and scalable concept.
