Reflecting on the first half of my stay, I can say that the experience has been overall positive and aligned with my main objectives, although not without some challenges. I’m learning a lot about how a professional animation studio is structured and how production is managed on a daily basis.

One of the most valuable aspects so far has been the opportunity to engage with the production side of the company. I’ve been involved in tasks related to scheduling, task breakdown, and team coordination, which are helping me better understand how projects are planned and executed in real conditions.

In parallel, I’ve started developing a web-based application aimed at simplifying and partially automating some of the tasks of a production manager. This includes the use of AI in a selective and controlled way, always with a strong focus on privacy and data protection, which I consider essential in a production environment. This project is allowing me to combine my technical background with my growing interest in production workflows.

Alongside this experience, I also founded a small creative collective called NBI (No Bad Ideas), which represents a first step toward building a future production studio focused on IP development. One of our first projects has been selected for Cartoon Next 2026, where we will present our first animated series. We are currently working on the pitch and visual materials, with the goal of developing the project as a digital-first production.

Overall, I feel that the objectives of the program are being met in terms of learning and exposure to real production environments. At the same time, this experience has helped me better understand my professional positioning, and I feel ready to take on responsibilities beyond entry-level roles, growing within production coordination and progressively moving toward a Production Manager level.

In terms of improvements, I believe the experience could benefit from more structured involvement in higher-level production processes (such as decisions and strategic planning), which would allow for a more complete understanding of the production cycle and client interaction, but i understand this is a decision that depends on the type of project.

In conclusion, despite some challenges, this experience is contributing significantly to my professional and personal growth, and I see value in continuing to build relationships that can create potential future collaborations.
