Hi all!
I’m Claudia, I’m a Business Engineer and I come from a small village in Calabria, in the South of Italy.
I’d like to set and run my own consulting company, that’s why I applied to EYE Program. I’ve been lucky to meet Miguel, an expert consultant running his own business in Palma de Mallorca and I joined him two weeks ago for starting this exciting experience abroad!
I’m supporting Miguel on business development and project management of projects for clients based in ParcBit, the Innovation Technology Park of Balearic Islands. The first day I went to the park I was deeply surprised. I couldn’t expect such a nice and tidy business district in Palma de Mallorca! It looks like a small Silicon Valley, with lots of start-ups as well as some international big sized-companies such as Microsoft.
That’s a highly inspiring environment to work in and people are nice and welcoming!
The projects I’ll be involved in are related to Technology and Tourism, mainly.
The first two weeks have been dedicated to study and research of clients’ activity and business model, as well as current and potential projects. I’m really motivated to give a hand for kicking those projects forward. And I’m sure I’ll learn a lot!
Palma de Mallorca has also surprised me. It has beaches, clubs but also a pretty downtown, museums and very nice food.
The Cathedral is the Queen of the city with its coloured glass walls. If you like art, as I do, you’ll be amazed of the works of Gaudì and Barcelò. The Mirò Foundation is also worth a visit.
