It’s Christmas time and that is my fourth report of my experience at Fyne Ales Brewery, Cairndow, Scotland.
It is also my last one for this year, since I will go back to Italy at the end of next week in order to be together
with my family and friends for Christmas and new year’s Eve.
Last two weeks have been very busy, washing and racking a lot of casks for the Christmas period, indeed
the orders have multiplied as expected. The Italian market is the second one for Fyne Ales, in fact last week
we’ve sent sixteen pallets of casks, pins and bottles to the Italian distributor for the festivities period
covering only! (imagine that: on average every pallet is formed by 18 casks, every cask is 40 liters, that’s a
lot of beer).
It should go this way also for the week ahead, but the team has promised me that when I will be back to
work in January the rhythm should drop a bit and they will have time to show me the very interesting
phases of beer production; I can’t wait for this!
