Here me again with a new report.
The past weeks have been spent working on an upcoming event that will take place at the end of this month. It is a big event, on a “open day” format that is recurring every year and now it is at its 22nd edition in which over 200 artist open their studio to the community.

I worked on both the planning and management of the communication strategies for the event as Social Media Strategist and in particular I also worked on the press release having the chance to know, interact and build new networks within the London visual and performing arts sector. I’ve never realised how many galleries, arts or cultural centres or arts related magazine and newspaper could be, not speaking about the whole London, but just looking at your neighborhood!
I’m also still working in team on the set up of the 4 event venues, bouncing from craft and painting to visuals to conceptual works till the event will start.

In the meanwhile we are going ahead with the fitting out of the new premises. I’ve had a meeting where I introduced the design of the outside setting up with the supplier that will be in charge of the works and we’ve just started collaborating to finalise the project.

During the summer break, thanks to the unexpected great weather, I could also explore the countryside of South England whit a bike trip from London to Brighton that has been simply amazing and allowed me to know and talk with nice and curious people.
I’m spending my free time visiting exhibitions, concerts and new places and I’ve also finally moved in to a new home that is closer to our workplace and thanks to the suggestion of my colleague Susan is located in a friendly and extremely alive borough of London: Stoke Newington. I moved there just around ten days ago but I’m feeling exited to be part of that community!

To be continued on the next report.
