I am artist that has won some competitions. I have met met many artist and heard and seen seen how they got taken advantage of with no alternative options. my business idea is to create an environment where these artist can record, not get scammed and get them the quality they deserve.
My host Sandi Bratonja owns his own studio and already has the experience and skills which i have not yet gotten so this was the perfect opportunity to participate in this since i get to obtain firsthand experience on operating a studio and establishing connections to pursue my goals.
I heard of the EYE program while i was volunteering on a separate project.
Setting up equipment for the studio and even live concerts.
Managing the social media page for the studio.
Giving artist feedback and minor tweaks to improve their song when needed.
Transporting equipment.
Learning about the plugins and all the extra effects in the recording software.
Connections and contacts with other artists and producers.
Deeper understanding of music.
Help other artist write songs.
knowing how to set up equipment for a recording session.
Working with a group that can potentially gain a wider audience.
Thanks to doing sound checks there’s now an awareness of when something sounds off, being able to pick up on things (like extra static or the instrument being recorded overshadows other instruments due to the frequency).
I see now that the circumstances of one’s birth are irrelevant; it is what you do with the gift of life that determines who you are.
If you have a passion pursue it, the least you can do is try, the worst you can do is sitting down wondering what would happen if you tried.
