My name is Davide, I’m an Italian creative and aspiring entrepreneur passionate about communication, storytelling and community-building. I joined the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs program because I wanted to learn in a real way, surrounded by people already doing the things I wanted to do.

My exchange took place in the Algarve, Portugal, with POMAR Coliving, an international coliving and coworking space built around remote workers, entrepreneurs and creatives. I had expectations going in, professional skills, networking, practical experience, but the experience gave me quite a bit more than that. Confidence I didn’t know I was missing, new perspectives, and human connections that will stay with me for a long time.

During my Erasmus experience at POMAR Coliving, I was involved in communication, storytelling and content creation, observing how branding and community management work in a real entrepreneurial context, from the inside.
Living inside the environment made a big difference. You understand things about storytelling, hospitality and human connection that you simply can’t learn from the outside.

My relationship with my Host Entrepreneur was genuinely positive from the start, built on open communication and mutual trust. The human side of that relationship ended up being just as important as the professional learning, maybe even more.

This experience brought me more than I expected, both professionally and personally. I improved my communication, storytelling and content creation skills, and gained real insight into branding, community building and digital communication in an international context. But honestly, the most valuable part was the people. Entrepreneurs, freelancers, remote workers from different countries and industries, conversations that expanded my perspective in ways I didn’t anticipate and that might lead somewhere in the future.

On a personal level, I came back more adaptable, more confident and more convinced that environment, community and balance are not secondary things. They shape everything, including how you work and what you create. Overall, the EYE program gave me practical experience but also something harder to define. A clearer idea of the kind of future I actually want to build.

The Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs experience gave me much more than professional skills. It changed my perspective on work, creativity and lifestyle, while connecting me with inspiring people and a completely new way of living and building projects.
