I am a Bangladeshi entrepreneur currently based in Germany, with a background in Business Administration and Sustainable Development. I run a small online clothing business focused on traditional South Asian garments and heritage-inspired fashion. My host in Sassari, Italy, is an experienced entrepreneur, experienced in Branding and investment marketing.
My business idea revolves around building an ethical fashion brand that connects traditional craftsmanship with modern design and e-commerce. I discovered the EYE program through online research while seeking opportunities to learn from experienced entrepreneurs in Europe. I joined EYE to gain hands-on experience in heritage business development, expand my cross-cultural understanding, and explore ways to scale my own brand sustainably. I expected to gain mentorship, new perspectives, and practical insights, and the journey so far has exceeded my expectations.
During my EYE stay in Sassari, Italy, I was actively involved in various aspects of the host’s investment and marketing business. I observed and participated in talking to partners, investors, and business development ideas. I also assisted in social media content planning, contributed ideas for cross-cultural product collaborations, and supported the host during workshops and events, where I gained valuable insights into entrepreneurs and EU partners’ engagement and storytelling through heritage.

My relationship with the host has been very positive, collaborative, and inspiring. He has been generous in sharing her knowledge, experiences, and even challenges. We had regular discussions about entrepreneurship, sustainability, and the importance of cultural identity in business. Our bond grew stronger through shared values and mutual respect, and I truly see him as both a mentor and a creative collaborator.
During my EYE experience, I gained valuable entrepreneurial insights by observing how a small business adapts to market needs, manages resources, and builds a brand. Engaging with my HE and other entrepreneurs, and listening to their personal stories of resilience and innovation, was deeply inspiring. I developed a better understanding of cultural expectations and how to tailor products and communication for different audiences. Meeting people from diverse backgrounds helped me expand my professional network, exchange ideas, and gain new perspectives on business strategy. This experience has strengthened my motivation and broadened my vision for growing my own business internationally.
This journey has truly boosted my confidence and motivation. Being surrounded by passionate entrepreneurs and new ideas reminded me why I started, and inspired me to think bigger, act bolder, and believe more in my potential.
