My name is Rocco Gargiulo, I’m an Italian audiovisual producer with academic training in executive production and audiovisual content formats. I joined AmoraFilms, a creative production company based in Valencia, as part of the EYE programme to gain hands-on experience in project management and production workflows. My business idea focuses on developing a cross-border production initiative between Italy and Spain. I discovered EYE through colleagues who had taken part in the programme and shared very positive experiences. I decided to participate to broaden my international perspective, strengthen my entrepreneurial skills, and build a solid foundation for my future production company. I expected to gain industry insight, expand my network, and collaborate with experienced professionals—and the results have already exceeded my expectations.
During my stay at AmoraFilms, I have been actively involved in several stages of audiovisual production, including budgeting, scheduling, location scouting, and team coordination. I participated in creative meetings, supported project development, and assisted in managing communication with clients and collaborators. I also contributed with my experience in digital communication to improve project promotion strategies. The relationship with my Host is collaborative, open, and enriching—based on mutual exchange. I’ve learned directly from their entrepreneurial experience while offering my own insights and ideas, creating a strong and productive partnership.

Thanks to the EYE programme, I’ve developed key skills in executive production, project coordination, and client communication within a real production environment. I’ve gained a deeper understanding of the business side of audiovisual production and improved my adaptability in an international context. I’ve also expanded my professional network with industry contacts in Spain and beyond, opening future opportunities for collaboration. Most importantly, this experience has helped me refine and strengthen my business idea, with the prospect of future cooperation between my future company and AmoraFilms. It has been a solid step forward in building my career in the European audiovisual industry.
