I am an industrial design graduate with a strong interest in sustainable product development and user-centered design. My Host Entrepreneur runs an established design studio focused on creative innovation, community workshops, and local engagement. My business idea involves creating a design venture that integrates co-design practices with eco-friendly manufacturing processes to develop meaningful consumer products.
I discovered the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs program through online research and university channels while looking for international opportunities to develop my entrepreneurial skills. I decided to participate to gain hands-on experience in managing a design studio, understand the European market, and learn how to transform creative concepts into a viable business. My expected benefits included improving my project management skills, learning about financial planning, expanding my professional network, and exploring potential international collaborations.
During my stay, my activities included supporting the studio in design development, helping with prototypes, and participating in community workshops. I also analyzed market strategies, assisted with social media and marketing ideas, and observed the daily financial and supplier management of the business.
The relationship with my Host Entrepreneur was highly positive, collaborative, and based on mutual respect. She was very supportive, always open to sharing her entrepreneurial insights and guiding me through the operational aspects of running a studio. Although her current financial situation does not allow for a formal hiring, we built a strong professional bond and are very open to potential freelance collaborations or joint projects in the future.
This experience has opened up great future prospects for cooperation, as my host and I have agreed to stay in touch for potential project-based collaborations and freelance partnerships where our skills can complement each other. In terms of skills developed, I significantly improved my practical knowledge in project management, budget tracking, marketing strategies, and co-design workshop organization. Furthermore, the stay allowed me to expand my professional network by making valuable new contacts with local entrepreneurs, designers, and suppliers, which will be essential for the international development of my own business venture.
An inspiring experience that bridged the gap between design theory and business reality. I gained crucial skills in project management, expanded my network, and built a great collaborative relationship for the future.
