My name is Piotr Gawęcki, I graduated from the Academy of Physical Education in Warsaw. I’m passionate about water sports and travel, which inspired me to create a business organizing team-building windsurfing trips to the Canary Islands. I heard about EYE from a friend who highly recommended it. I’m collaborating with Fanatic the Boarders Center Gran Canaria, run by experienced entrepreneur Michał Książek. I joined the program to gain practical business experience, and learn about management, marketing, and budgeting. I expected personal development, hands-on knowledge, and international networking – and I wasn’t disappointed.

During my stay, I was involved in the daily operations of the water sports center. I joined team briefings, assisted with rentals, matched equipment to clients’ skills, analyzed weather, and prepared offers. I learned how to teach windsurfing and wingfoiling, and later led my own lessons. I handled client service, financial spreadsheets, and monthly reports. In the final week, I managed the entire center’s operations under my mentor’s supervision. Our relationship was based on mutual trust and open communication, allowing me to gain valuable experience and confidence.

Through this program, I developed practical skills in management, customer service, activity planning, and financial reporting. I learned how to organize classes based on weather and client needs. I also improved my interpersonal, organizational, and language skills. I gained confidence as a future entrepreneur. I made valuable professional contacts, and with my mentor, we are planning possible future collaboration in organizing corporate retreats. This
program gave me a strong foundation to launch my own business – SURF POINT.

Joining the EYE program was one of the best decisions of my life – it gave me hands-on knowledge, confidence, and inspiration to pursue my business. It opened my eyes to new opportunities and equipped me with real tools to succeed.
