These last months of the project gave me the chance to work closely with Andrea, my host entrepreneur. Andrea runs ProjectGO, an online school for video makers. From the beginning, he involved me in many different areas of the business, giving me the opportunity to learn by doing and to contribute to it.
During this time, I worked on several tasks: from building landing pages for product launches, to helping develop an SEO strategy for the blog, and even editing videos for the Youtube channel. I really enjoyed the video editing part—especially seeing how visual content fits into the bigger picture of an online business. I also got to follow how Andrea plans and runs his email marketing campaigns, how he promotes digital products, and how he communicates with his audience in a personal and authentic way.
All of this gave me a clearer understanding of how an online business works behind the scenes. It was useful not only to improve my skills, but also to gain ideas and inspiration for my own project. I now have a better idea of the kind of work I enjoy most—especially the combination of content creation, digital marketing, and strategy.
Outside of work, life in the Canary Islands was also a great part of the experience. I met people from different backgrounds, many of them also working remotely or building their own businesses. The lifestyle here is more relaxed compared to other places I’ve lived, and that helped me focus better on my work while also having time to enjoy nature, community, and local life.
Looking back, I think this experience helped me grow in many ways. I feel more confident now in starting something on my own. I’ve learned how important it is to test ideas, stay consistent, and connect with your audience.
I’m really grateful for the support I received during this journey, from both Andrea and the EYE program. I’d definitely recommend this experience to other aspiring entrepreneurs. It’s a great way to step out of your usual environment and move forward with more clarity and motivation.
