Nicola Bracci, born in 2000 in Cesena, has had a passion for art since childhood. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Arts and Printmaking from the Academy of Fine Arts in Urbino. His interest in visual arts led him to Porto, a city rich in creative spaces and communities.
Skilled in traditional printmaking techniques, he aims to further explore these practices and eventually open his own space to collaborate with international artists and engage with the art market and public. He discovered the EYE program in June 2024 through an Italian friend already enrolled. He joined because he believes traveling and exchanging ideas with other artists is essential for growth. In Porto, he found a host in Oficina Arara, where a friendly and professional collaboration emerged. They’ve focused on screen printing posters and graphics with museums and international collectives.
The activities I carried out with Oficina Arara during these six months mainly involved screen printing in the studio, producing posters and music covers.
After studio work, we regularly sold our creations at print fairs between Porto and Lisbon.
We also collaborated with Forum Maia for the Illustration Biennale, where we painted three walls and organized a screen printing workshop open to the public.
The relationship was always based on collaboration and the sharing of ideas and projects. I had a great experience and will continue to collaborate with the members of the collective in the future.
There will be future collaborations between me and my host;
we have agreed to continue working together in the coming months, developing new artistic ideas and projects.
I have gained new skills in social, entrepreneurial, and communication fields through interactions with various organizations involved in the art market.
I also met international curators and artistic music labels.
Additionally, I discovered other artistic spaces and environments in Porto and Lisbon, establishing connections with local collectives.
This experience has greatly enriched my personality in creative, social, and entrepreneurial aspects.
A special thanks goes to Miguel Carneiro, who always treated me with kindness and welcomed me into the collective and the artistic space based in the city of Porto.
