I am a young entrepreneur developing a business idea focused on creative marketing and communication. I joined the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs (EYE) programme to gain practical experience and learn how to run a mission-driven business. My Host was a Greek entrepreneur in the care sector. The company was specializing in helping parents find nannies and people find jobs. I discovered EYE long time ago when I was still a teenager and always wanted to try it. The main goal of the exchange was to develop marketing skills, especially in social media and understand customer communication.
During the exchange, my activities focused on marketing and communication. I was responsible for coming up with ideas for posts in terms of graphic design and copywriting. I prepared a lot of templates in Canva for the Host and also researched deeply the topics regarding the elderly care. The research helped me with wiriting posts for Linkedin. The realtionship resulted in getting to know the scheme of the business and the Greek market in terms of labor, care and overall economic and demographic situation of the country. The collaboration was based on feedback.
The exchange allowed development of both digital and soft skills, particularly in social media marketing and customer communication. Practical experience was gained in creating and testing marketing campaigns, as well as understanding how to build a sales funnel.
A valuable experience that combined practical marketing work with real business insight.
