I am a young entrepreneur passionate about water sports and tourism. My business idea, WindUp, focuses on creating unique kitesurfing experiences and camps in different destinations around the world. I discovered the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs program through recommendations from other professionals in the industry. I decided to participate because I wanted to gain international experience and learn from experienced entrepreneurs. My host, No Limits Kitesurfing, is a well-established kitesurfing school in Sicily that became my mentor during the exchange. I expected to improve my management and marketing skills, understand how to build long-term relationships with clients, and learn how to successfully run a seasonal tourism business.
During my EYE stay, I was actively involved in the daily operations of the kitesurfing school. My main tasks included assisting in the organization of kite lessons and camps, managing social media content, supporting customer service, and helping with logistics during the high season. I also contributed to developing new marketing ideas and improving online visibility.
The relationship with my Host, No Limits Kitesurfing, was very positive and professional. My mentor shared valuable insights about running an international water sports business and managing a team during a busy tourist season. The collaboration was based on mutual trust, open communication, and a shared passion for kitesurfing and entrepreneurship.
During the exchange, I developed strong skills in project management, client relations, and digital marketing. I also gained practical experience in organizing kitesurfing events and coordinating international teams. Thanks to this collaboration, I established valuable contacts with local partners, instructors, and service providers in Sicily, which may lead to future joint projects.
There is a real prospect of future cooperation between WindUp and No Limits Kitesurfing, especially in organizing international kite camps and exchanging instructors between destinations. The experience has also helped me build a clear vision for developing my own brand and expanding it to new markets.
The exchange with No Limits Kitesurfing was a life-changing experience. I gained international knowledge, confidence, and inspiration to develop my own brand, WindUp, and turn my passion for kitesurfing into a global business.
