I am Lia, a young entrepreneur with a passion for art and event production. My business idea is to create a unique space that combines a production workshop for scenography and events with the concept of an artist residency, fostering collaboration between creative workers and hosted artists. The goal is to provide innovative services for clients in theater, live events, and set design.

My Host is also an artist, just like me, with a vivid imagination and a strong entrepreneurial spirit. I discovered the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs program through acquaintances who had participated, and I decided to join because it was exactly what I was looking for: a solid starting point to transform my idea into reality. The expected benefits were to gain as much knowledge as possible from industry professionals and to build a strong international network.

During my EYE stay, I have built a good relationship with my Host. While some aspects have been more challenging due to occasional differences in our visions, collaboration and open dialogue have always been central and essential to our work together.

I have been actively involved in co-managing artist residencies, gaining experience in both back-office operations and on-site activities within the studio. I provided assistance to resident artists and engaged in networking with them. Additionally, I collaborated in the production of exhibitions and live events, supporting curation, event promotion, and establishing connections with external organizations and artists.

I think I achieved several valuable benefits that will have a lasting impact on my career. I developed practical skills in managing artist residencies and organizing exhibitions and live events, which will be essential for running my future business. I also gained insight into balancing artistic and operational tasks, improving my adaptability and problem-solving abilities.

Networking was a significant aspect of my experience: I established connections with artists, organizations, and professionals in the field, laying the groundwork for potential future collaborations. Additionally, the open exchange of ideas with my Host enriched my perspective, offering both creative and entrepreneurial insights that will guide me in refining my business plan and approach.

This experience has been a unique opportunity to grow both professionally and personally. Despite some challenges, the open dialogue and collaboration allowed me to gain valuable skills, expand my network, and refine my vision for creating an innovative artistic and production space.
