My host and I both work in the field of language education. I am developing my own language school, while my Host Entrepreneur runs NikaTeacher, a language school that organizes classes, both in-person and online, as well as language events.
I discovered the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs through social media. Someone shared their experience in a Facebook group and spoke very positively about the program, which made me interested in applying.
During my stay in Spain, I wanted to learn how to run my own language school, how to promote my activities online, and how to attract students. The exchange gave me the opportunity to observe how a language business operates in practice and better understand how to develop my own project.

During my stay I observed how a language school operates on a daily basis and actively supported different activities at NikaTeacher. I had the opportunity to assist with classes, lead conversation sessions, and organize language exchange events. I also learned about student communication, course organization, and online promotion.
My relationship with my Host Entrepreneur was very open and supportive. We regularly discussed ideas about teaching, marketing, and running a language business. Through these conversations and daily collaboration, I was able to see how decisions are made, how students are attracted to the school, and how a small educational business grows in practice. This experience helped me better understand how to develop my own project.

I gained a thorough understanding of how a physical language school operates, including administration, student services, marketing, and event organization. I developed strategies to attract and engage students through events, social media, landing pages, and direct communication. I acquired experience planning and delivering individual, group, and online classes, preparing educational materials, and managing client communication. My skills in content creation, digital marketing, and tools like Instagram, WordPress, Canva, CapCut, and Photoshop improved. I also learned about teacher recruitment, strengthened organizational and problem-solving skills, expanded my professional network in Gran Canaria, and improved my Spanish and English through daily work and teaching practice.
