I am a maritime student with a strong interest in ship maintenance and technical operations. During my collaboration with a ship repair and maintenance company, I worked closely with experienced technicians on various vessels. My business interest focuses on improving efficiency and sustainability within the maritime sector. I discovered the EYE programme through my school and was motivated to gain international experience through practical cooperation. I decided to participate to broaden my technical knowledge, develop entrepreneurial skills, and expand my professional network. I expected to gain insight into project management, international teamwork, and the daily operations of a maritime company.

During my EYE collaboration, I supported ship repair and maintenance projects, including vessel inspections, assisting with mechanical repairs, preparing materials, and contributing to technical documentation. I was involved in both minor maintenance tasks and larger repair projects. Over time, I received more responsibility and carried out assignments more independently. I also gained insight into planning processes, customer communication, budgeting, and workflow organization. My relationship with my Host was professional and constructive. The collaboration was based on trust, guidance, and open communication, which supported my technical and professional growth.

Through this collaboration, I strengthened my technical skills in ship maintenance and gained hands-on experience in real maritime projects. I developed problem-solving abilities, learned to work efficiently under pressure, and improved my communication skills in an international environment. I also gained valuable insight into how a maritime company is managed, including planning, client relations, and teamwork. The experience increased my confidence, independence, and professional mindset. Furthermore, I built valuable professional connections that may lead to future cooperation within the maritime sector.

This collaboration has helped me grow both professionally and personally. Working in an international maritime environment challenged me to take responsibility and strengthened my ambition to build a future in the maritime industry.
