I am Latvian but studied in Netherlands for 4 years, my HE works in the travel industry and big part of it is sustainability. I discovered EYE on LinkedIn when i was approached to participate in the programme. I decided to participate because I wanted to strengthen my entrepreneurial skills by learning directly from a host entrepreneur while also contributing my knowledge in marketing, branding, and digital strategy. The programme offered a practical way to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world entrepreneurship.
I contributed to developing content strategies, managing campaigns, and analyzing performance to enhance online presence and I conducted research on industry trends and competitors, providing insights that supported strategic decision-making. My relationship with my host entrepreneur was collaborative and supportive. They provided valuable mentorship, shared their entrepreneurial journey, and encouraged me to take initiative in projects. The environment was open and trust-based, allowing me to both learn and contribute meaningfully. I felt that my skills in marketing and branding complemented their business expertise, creating a mutually beneficial exchange.
Through the EYE programme, I developed valuable skills in social media management, brand positioning, and client onboarding while gaining practical insights into entrepreneurial operations. I built strong communication and strategic planning abilities, deepened my understanding of international markets, and strengthened my confidence in developing and presenting business ideas.
The EYE programme gave me invaluable hands-on experience, mentorship, and international exposure. It strengthened my entrepreneurial skills, expanded my network, and inspired me to confidently move forward with my own business journey.
