I am an Italian graduate with a background in Sociology and a Master’s degree in International Cooperation and Development. I have always been interested in the social sector, NGOs, and international cooperation. Over time, I developed a strong interest in European project design as a tool to create social impact.
I discovered the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs programme through friends who had already participated and shared very positive experiences. I decided to join to gain practical experience in project writing and implementation, working with deadlines and learning directly from professionals in the field. I believe this experience will help me strengthen my skills, gain practical knowledge, and better understand how European projects are developed and managed in an international environment.
During my EYE stay, I have been involved in activities related to European project design and proposal development. My Host, a senior project designer specialized in projects that use sport as a tool for education and social inclusion, has guided me throughout the process, providing examples of successful proposals and explaining the structure and logic behind them. I have supported the preparation of project drafts, contributed to specific sections of proposals, and received feedback and corrections on my work. This collaboration has allowed me to better understand the practical aspects of project writing, including working under deadlines and aligning ideas with programme priorities. The relationship with my Host has been very constructive, based on mentorship, open communication, and continuous learning.
During this experience, the main benefit has been gaining practical experience in European project design and development. Working directly on proposals and observing the full process has helped me better understand how projects are structured, written, and managed in practice.
This experience has also helped me develop greater self-confidence in my abilities and feel more comfortable contributing ideas and taking initiative in this field. I have improved my capacity to work with deadlines, collaborate in a professional environment, and approach project development in a more proactive way.
In addition, this exchange has allowed me to expand my professional network and build connections that may lead to future collaborations in the field of European projects and social innovation. Overall, the experience has strengthened both my professional skills and my motivation to continue working in this sector.
This experience helped me gain practical skills, confidence, and a clearer vision for my future in European project design.
