I am Fabio Orlandi, an Italian video editor and content creator with three years of experience in producing engaging visuals for social media. My passion lies in photography and storytelling, helping brands convey their identity through impactful content.

I joined the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs (EYE) program to enhance my business knowledge, learn from an experienced Host in the Netherlands, and explore international markets. I discovered the program while searching for ways to improve my skills and avoid common pitfalls in business.

During my EYE stay, I have focused primarily on creating a new website for my Host’s business, ensuring it better reflects their brand identity and services. Additionally, I contributed to their Instagram presence by designing and developing engaging content aimed at increasing visibility and audience engagement.

While my relationship with my Host has been professional and collaborative, it took some time to establish a clear understanding of how I could contribute effectively. Once we aligned on the goals, I was able to apply my skills and experience to support their business needs.

During my stay, I didn’t learn as much as I had hoped, as most of the tasks I completed involved applying skills I already possessed. For instance, I created a new website for my Host and developed Instagram content based on my existing expertise in web design and social media.

While these activities allowed me to showcase my abilities, they didn’t provide significant opportunities for learning or growth. Despite this, I recognize the value of having had the chance to contribute to the Host’s business using my skills, even if the experience didn’t fully meet my initial expectations for professional development.

My EYE experience allowed me to contribute with my existing skills, such as creating a website and social media content. However, I didn’t gain as much new knowledge as I had hoped, highlighting the importance of aligning expectations and activities for mutual growth.
