My name is Claudia Capuano, and I am the founder of Mousiké – L’Insieme delle Arti, an independent bookshop and cultural centre with a Literary Choral Laboratory that will be based in San Giovanni a Teduccio, Naples. Its mission is to make culture accessible through music, literature and community participation. My Host Entrepreneur, Cecilia, is an inspiring professional who transforms culture into a space for connection and shared experiences. Her creative, empathetic and people-centred approach is a constant source of inspiration. I discovered the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs programme while looking for an opportunity to develop my project in an international environment. I hope to strengthen my skills in cultural project management, build collaborations between Italy and Spain, and help Mousiké grow into an inclusive space for culture, dialogue and community.
During my EYE exchange, I took part in the organisation and promotion of several cultural initiatives while closely observing the management of an independent bookshop and a community-oriented cultural space. Among the most meaningful experiences were Sant Jordi, the Catalan celebration of books and roses, World Poetry Day on 21 March, and a Literary Speed Dating event, where people connected through conversations about books. These activities showed me how culture can become a powerful tool for inclusion and community engagement. My relationship with my Host Entrepreneur, Cecilia, has been exceptional. Beyond teaching me practical skills in managing cultural projects, she inspired me with her creative, empathetic and deeply human approach, becoming an important role model both professionally and personally.
The EYE experience allowed me to develop practical skills in cultural project management, communication, event organisation and community engagement. Observing Cecilia’s work helped me build a more sustainable and socially oriented vision for Mousiké, strengthening not only its entrepreneurial aspects but also its cultural mission. I also established valuable connections with professionals, artists and cultural organisations that will support the future development of my project. One of the most important outcomes is our shared intention to continue collaborating by developing new initiatives between Italy and Spain focused on literature, music and community participation. EYE transformed my initial idea into a stronger, more concrete project with an international perspective.
Join EYE with curiosity and an open heart. You may arrive with a business idea, but you’ll leave with a broader vision, meaningful connections and the certainty that culture has the power to transform both people and communities.
