I discovered EYE through an organization called Sportello in Spalla, they operate in my area of Sardinia (Barbagia). I saw one of their presentations they held in my town. I’d never heard of Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs before. They don’t tell you about this in university. And that’s a shame because it opens a lot of new possibilities for young people. I decided to participate because, despite having a somewhat good grasp of my discipline (architecture but more specifically architectural visualization) I knew little of marketing and the day to day actions a company must undertake to keep itself afloat in terms of reach, and awareness amongst the public. Once you go past this treacherous first part of the sea of being a businessperson you can reap the rewards but how to get to being known is a key factor and I new as soon as I saw my current Host Entrepreneur’s website and profile that I could rely on him in this regard.

My activities encompassed the broadest range of what a company in the field of archviz can operate on. I did rendering and 3D modeling, I help prepared posts on several social media, did graphic design, video editing, wrote articles, did proof reading, experimented with cutting-edge tech like AI and explored possible future business ideas. My host help me and I helped him in return. A mutually beneficial relationship that had me really grow during this six months as a worker, as a business-oriented person, as an artist and as a person.

Me and my Host, Nicolas Ioannou of Travel With VR will continue collaborating in the field of architectural visualization while tread new spaces and try and expand my client base. I am much faster now in my modeling process, I learnt so many things regarding the minutia of a well crafted visualization project. When you combine speed and quality, there is the sweet spot of a successful production pipeline. I know how to operate with the aid of artificial intelligence, which is an absolute must nowadays. My host is a marketer, and well train at that, and surely I could glean part of that skill, so that I could apply that in my future endeavors. This is how a good exchange program should end. I recommend it. Last but not least, I also got to see Cyprus in its many facets, from the culture, its people, its beautiful landscapes and everything else.

Do it, guys. Do not fret and throw yourself into the game, if you believe in it you’ll be rewarded
