I achieved some unexpected goals because the exhibition “Fanzinoteca” I’m curating attracted a lot of interest, so we replicated it in Porto, in Zumbido bookstore and actually it’s being setted in Braga, in a Art and design studio. In the 2026 they plan to move the exhibition to public Libraries in the North of Portugal. So I am really happy and proud of this big result for me as an entrepreneur and for them, as the idea was really appreciate and enhanced.
Curating the exhibition, from the idea to the artistic direction up to the choice of furnishings, their creation, the choice and display of themes and artists has been a great experience for me that certainly enriches my CV in an impactful way and allows me to introduce myself to the world of art in this different and interesting form as the curation of artistic and cultural projects that I had never experienced so officially.
During the second exhibition in Porto, I also held a workshop of fanzine for children’s and meet with some illustrators, graphic designers, musicians and entrepreneurs who works in the field of editorial. Meeting Joana, from Zumbido inspired me a lot on how to build a sustainable business taking care of environment and promoting culture and lecture. This inspired me to work on a new project about Amalia Rodriguez, a Portuguese Fado singer and actress.
I was involved in some activities with the organization like Vira Fest and tour Galicia of Rock’n Camp. During those events I took some pictures and sharing contents, making some interview to the people who participate in Roc’n Camp to be able to make an animation out of this material. I supported and discovered new places and interesting cultural spaces.
I’m actually taking care of some illustrations and an animation for regarding the Rock’n Camp project, Cine Musica and 25th April shows. Regarding my project I am doing researches about Amalia Rodriguez, I will soon visit her house and project related to her to inspire and start to work on my new publication.
