During the first weeks of collaboration, the host introduced me to the company’s structure, and I also got to know my colleagues from different departments and the tools the company had been using so far, such as shopify, webflow and klaviyo. When planning marketing activities, we quickly noticed together what could be improved, so I immediately started my adventure with learning new tools. The start date of my exchange coincided with Black Friday – an important event for shops, so I immediately proposed a campaign for this period. In the first few days, we worked out the marketing activities and I set about creating content. This ensured that we didn’t miss the opportunity to improve sales performance and I learned how to use the various platforms from the get-go.
As my exchange started at the end of November, the company invited me to their annual team-building trip to wrap up the year. This was a great opportunity for me to learn – how to hold conversations with employees and I was also able to meet other employees who work in other locations on a daily basis. I was very positively surprised by the way of communication and the strong, friendly relationship that exists between the owners and the employees. The company resembles a family with a common goal, which impressed me a lot. Everyone is involved in the development of the company, willing to share ideas, training and wanting to innovate. During the convention, we also had training and I visited the headquarters of the company, which is a partner supplying the filters. I learned how water filters work and understood why they are so important. The convention was a great time and allowed me to see a different face of running a business.
I’m happy that we can exchange ideas and I have the opportunity to implement my proposals. In a very short time I started to solve problems with the website, online shop or email marketing, even though I was not familiar with these tools. I also appreciate that in addition to my tasks, which we set, I get questions from different departments and I can also create new solutions and materials on slightly different levels than I knew before.
