Reflecting on the first half of my stay abroad, the experience has been both enriching and grounding. I feel deeply embedded in the host environment and have had the opportunity to observe and participate in the daily realities of running a values-driven, regenerative organisation. The collaboration has allowed me to move beyond theory and into lived practice, which was one of my core motivations for joining the program.

So far my experience has been characterised by close collaboration with the host entrepreneur Gabriel, learning directly through observation, reflection and dialogue and closely collaborating together. I have gained insight into how methodologies such as participatory governance, facilitation and innovative leadership are applied in real organisational contexts. This has helped me better understand how internal alignment, communication and wellbeing are not abstract concepts but practical necessities that require continuous attention and adaptation.

One significant challenge has been navigating the balance between idealism and operational reality. Working within a mission-driven organisation has highlighted the tension between maintaining strong values and responding to practical constraints such as time, resources and also financial sustainability. Rather than feeling discouraging this has been a valuable learning experience, offering a more realistic and nuanced view of regenerative entrepreneurship.

I strongly feel that the objectives of the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs programme are being met. I am developing concrete entrepreneurial skills, gaining clarity around my own business direction and deepening my understanding of how regenerative and human-centred business models function in a European context with the help of Gabriel. The experience is directly informing how I envision structuring my future consultancy and facilitation work.

For the remainder of the exchange, one adjustment that could further strengthen the experience would be a more intentional focus on translating learning into tangible outputs such as refining service offerings, documenting methodologies and identifying clear next steps for collaboration beyond the exchange. Creating more structured reflection moments with the host entrepreneur could also help consolidate insights and ensure alignment moving forward.

Overall I feel grateful for the depth, honesty, and learning this first phase has offered. The experience has confirmed my motivation to continue on a path of regenerative entrepreneurship, while also grounding my vision in practical experience, self-reflection, and real-world complexity.
