This is already my second month in Italy, and during this time, I’ve not only had the opportunity to work as a creative designer in a great team with my host, but also to travel.
Each city has its own atmosphere, its own feeling, its own vibe. After experiencing this, you realize that Italy is very diverse and can be so different. Here are a few cities I’ve managed to visit during this period: Bari, Rome, Naples, Salerno, and of course, a small mountain province called Anzi (PZ), where I actually spend most of my time. At the planetarium and the astronomical center, situated at an altitude of 1067 meters above sea level.
Here, in the village of Anzi (PZ), surrounded by mountains, you really immerse yourself in the life of the locals. This isn’t a guided tour of the capital; here, everything is different – quiet, slow-paced life, grounding, and tranquility – the very things that entrepreneurs often lack.

I work as a graphic designer and offer creative solutions to companies. It’s amazing that my work allows me to be mobile, work remotely, and be open to collaborations from around the world, whether in Italy, Poland, or other countries.
Sometimes, while traveling, the most unexpected and creative solutions come to mind. It’s become natural for me to work on my laptop from a train or car. But even if the laptop isn’t nearby, my brain still keeps working and generating ideas, especially when I’m driving through southern Italy and watching the mountains and canyons pass by – all of this is incredibly inspiring.
My host and I also traveled to nearby villages with mobile telescopes to show the locals the night sky. The view of the Moon through a telescope is something extraordinary. I also had the chance to see Saturn up close for the first time.
This month, we also worked with my host on redesigning the website. It was a challenge and an opportunity for me to learn something new since I hadn’t worked with web design before. Gaining new skills is always beneficial, especially in such a dynamic field as Graphic Design and Digital Marketing.
During my second month here, I also learned how to optimize taxes and remotely launched my startup in Poland. This was something I had been working toward for a long time, and the project gave me the strength and confidence to make it happen.
I also realized how important a friendly atmosphere at work is. My host and I have found a great connection – we are no longer just business partners but friends as well. If any problems arise, we know that we can solve them as long as we approach everything with calm and humor.
I’m happy that my design skills can help the Italian province attract more tourists to the region, as we’re updating the design of marketing materials. It’s also been a great learning experience to understand more about how business works in Italy.
After such a short time, I already feel my personal and entrepreneurial growth. This is exactly what I’m striving for.
