My journey into the world of aesthetics as part of the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs program in Spain exceeded my expectations. It was not only a professional experience, but also an emotional journey full of discoveries, challenges and unforgettable moments.
From the first days, I felt the hospitality and openness of the local culture. And a completely different rhythm of life. The working atmosphere in Spain is different from the one I am used to (for example, the working day schedule, namely what time work usually starts and the mandatory lunch break).
It is also worth noting that colleagues are happy to share their experience, which helps me broaden my horizons in the beauty industry.
During the first half of the program, I learned the latest skin care techniques that were not so common in my previous experience. I managed to work with modern equipment and try innovative approaches to aesthetic procedures. I would like to separately note the training in working with clients – in Spain it is a real art. Clients are really different, everything is calm, no rush, no one is in a hurry anywhere.
Of course, it was not without challenges. At first, the language barrier seemed like an obstacle, but most of the client models were Ukrainian and Russian-speaking. I also had to adapt to the increased humidity, climate change and get acquainted with the treatment methods in Spain.
This program has already changed my approach to work. I see which aspects are worth developing, which services are in greater demand and what attracts the attention of clients. I plan to integrate this knowledge into my business. I also want to start a new direction in conducting “depilation” courses, which gave me more confidence in my knowledge and skills.
The second part of my stay was even more intense and productive. I understood more deeply how to build long-term relationships with clients. To be interested and keep constant contact with my clients and remind myself of myself.
I am sure that this experience will be a boost for my professional development.
