The first half of my stay in Bologna has been very exciting and I already made a lot of varied experiences. I can notice a huge difference to the start of the program. Back then everything was completely new: new people, new structures, new tasks. And still I am learning something unknown each day, but more and more I get familiar with how the organization works and how tasks are structured.
Even though I gain knowledge about the work in project management of Erasmus+ project, there are still so many things to learn and I really appreciate that about the work. It never gets boring. Now being here for three months and two weeks, I have already received insight into different projects and different events that are being organized and I am very inspired about the creativity and engagement of my co-workers, who are always trying to maximize the impact of those projects. I appreciate the work, because you get into contact with a lot of different people from different countries.
In May I was able to travel for one week each to Latvia and Slovakia for two different project and I made some great experiences there! Since the projects are focused on providing non-formal education for youth and empowering youth, I can learn a lot for my own project. I can see that implementing projects about sustainability, inclusion and youth participation really have an impact and it is great to be able to contribute to that. I am really grateful for the opportunity to work with the association and at the same time think about projects I would like to write and create. My host entrepreneur supports me in this, which is a great help.
Reflecting on this journey, the core objectives of the exchange program are definitely being met, as I am successfully acquiring practical entrepreneurial skills and intercultural competencies. In terms of professional development, a natural next step in this collaboration is to find the perfect balance between actively supporting the ongoing daily group activities and dedicating sufficient focus to my individual project ideas. But also in this process I feel very supported by my host entrepreneur.
