During the first half of my six-month exchange, my experience abroad has been highly positive, enriching, and fully aligned with the objectives defined at the beginning of the program. The collaboration with the Host Entrepreneur has developed smoothly, in a professional and constructive environment, and no significant problems or critical challenges have been encountered so far.
From a professional perspective, I have gained valuable insight into sustainable construction practices, particularly through direct exposure to the use of materials such as iron, steel, aluminum, glass, and prefabricated components. Observing construction sites and day-to-day operations has helped me better understand how these materials are selected, optimized, and adapted to legal and environmental requirements. This experience is directly supporting the development of my future project, Xenia Building.
In parallel, I have been actively involved in analyzing client management, team coordination, and internal workflows. The Host Entrepreneur has shared practical strategies related to managing employees,collaborating with craftsmen and suppliers, and navigating bureaucratic processes. These observations have strengthened my understanding of how to build long-term client relationships and coordinate multidisciplinary teams in a real business context.
Marketing and communication have also been an important learning area. I have reviewed existing branding and promotional strategies, evaluated their effectiveness, and started researching additional marketing tools suitable for the sustainable construction sector. This has contributed to a clearer vision of how to position eco-friendly housing solutions and communicate their environmental and social value.
I strongly feel that the objectives of the program are being met, both for my professional growth and for the mutual exchange of ideas with the Host Entrepreneur. At this stage, no major adjustments are necessary. For the second half of the exchange, I aim to move from observation to greater practical involvement, applying the knowledge acquired so far and contributing more actively to decision-making processes.
Overall, this experience has confirmed the relevance of my career path, enhanced my technical, managerial, and strategic skills, and provided valuable international experience that will have a lasting impact on my entrepreneurial development.
