During this first month, I’ve been enjoying this experience very much. I’ve been helping clients with daily management and communications tasks, such as sending emails to help them solve problems with finding the best trip for them, how to book, and if there were any problem.
I’ve participated in tour organization activities, including finding hotels and organizing places to visit. I’ve met and spoken with clients who’ve been coming to the agency for years to understand what let them to make this choice. I’ve learned that constant updates on places to visit and activities are essential, but above all, you need to be prepared for clients’ needs and be able to quickly resolve any issues.
My HE explained to me how social media work works to find clients and collaborators and how to best communicate with them to promote the company. In this case, I recommended adding other social media platforms beyond the ones I already use and making videos of the people who chose my HE’s company for their travels.
They had me participate in meetings to find ideas for improving communication and the overall company, they were talking about the places to add at the visits or which photo or video post on the social media, because I’ve learned that one important things in this type of company is the marketing and how the other people see your travel, also an another thing to know is the communication about the travel the people do with their friends or family. I recommended adding interactive places to visit during the travel.
I also organized and participated in a trip to Italy, in Tuscany, to see how to manage a large number of people and see how much important is the time for the visits and the free time. About 40 people were on the trip, and it was very interesting to see how all their different needs needed to be managed.
I’m enjoying this experience very much, and my HE is very good at explaining how things work and is very available to clarify what I need to do.
