Reaching the exact midpoint of my three-month Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs (EYE) exchange in Malta offers a dedicated opportunity to reflect on the practical progress, daily collaboration, and concrete milestones achieved so far. While the first two weeks were focused on orientation and understanding the operational framework of Training Opportunities in Malta, this second phase has been about active execution and strategic contributions alongside my Host Entrepreneur, Anthony Briffa. Our working dynamic has developed into an effective professional partnership: Anthony provides deep expertise in European mobility logistics and business operations, while I apply my analytical background in economics to structure market data, identify expansion opportunities, and optimize digital communication tools.
The objectives outlined in our original exchange plan are being met consistently. Specifically, I conducted an extensive market analysis of European institutions holding active Erasmus+ accreditations (KA120, KA121, KA122) across the Adult and School sectors, constructing a comprehensive database of potential partner organizations. Using these insights, Anthony and I collaborated to design structured service packages that bundle accommodation, vocational courses, cultural activities, and local mentorship into complete offerings for incoming groups. The primary challenge during this stage was adapting our messaging to meet the distinct administrative expectations of different European educational systems.
To address this and improve the final phase of the exchange, we adjusted our approach to focus directly on targeted email marketing and outreach campaigns, allowing us to test our new service packages against live market responses. Additionally, weekly sessions spent reviewing business structures with Anthony have provided valuable feedback for refining my own Business Plan.
Navigating professional tasks in an international, bilingual environment continues to strengthen my communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and adaptability, ensuring a solid foundation for both the remainder of the project and our future cross-border collaboration.
