My name is Simona Hutkova, I am 21 years old and I come from Slovakia. Currently, I am studying International Business at Hanze University of Applied Sciences in Groningen in the Netherlands. My passion lies in various facets of international business, particularly in sustainability, business development, finance, and project leadership. Beyond my regular coursework, I am part of the honors program at my university, a recognition given to the top 5% of students, showcasing my proactive and ambitious nature. This accomplishment reflects my commitment to academic excellence and professional growth, driving me to explore the aspects of international business and sustainability further.
In addition to my academic pursuits, I enjoy working out, reading, and continuously learning new things and languages. These activities complement my professional interests by fostering a well-rounded personal development. I decided to participate in the Erasmus Young Entrepreneurs (EYE) program primarily due to the influence of Jan, my host entrepreneur, who introduced me to this opportunity. His suggestion that we could collaborate, share ideas, and innovate together was incredibly appealing. We successfully connected and got approved by EYE, and I am excited to embark on this journey. This opportunity aligns perfectly with my career aspirations, allowing me to engage with forward-thinking professionals and explore innovative business models in an international setting.
