I am an architect currently working in the field of exhibitions and installations. I have always wanted to become an architect because I have always been fascinated by the possibility of transforming an idea into something concrete. What I love most about architecture is not only the design process itself, but the possibility of creating spaces and experiences that people can actually see, enter and interact with. My professional path has therefore naturally developed towards projects where design, creativity and construction come together.
I particularly enjoy working on short-term projects, because they are dynamic and require both creativity and flexibility. My work includes exhibitions, museum installations, events and festivals, and I enjoy following a project from its initial concept to its physical construction. I like the challenge of working with deadlines, different teams and changing requirements, while still trying to preserve the original creative vision. One of the projects I am most proud of is an exhibition for Swarovski, an experience that allowed me to work closely with spatial design, visual experience and creativity.
My interests outside architecture are closely connected to my professional world. I am passionate about art, design, festivals and museums, and I am constantly curious about new exhibitions, cultural projects and creative environments. I enjoy discovering how different disciplines can influence one another and how collaboration can create something that would not have been possible through one discipline alone. I consider myself a curious, creative and determined person. Curiosity motivates me to discover new perspectives, creativity helps me approach challenges differently, and determination allows me to pursue the projects and goals that I believe in.
International experiences have already been an important part of my personal and professional development. I had the opportunity to work in Brussels in a lighting design studio and in Rotterdam in an architecture studio. I also took part in an Erasmus experience in Köln. These experiences allowed me to live and work in different environments and to understand how architecture and design can be approached in different ways. Being surrounded by people with different backgrounds challenged some of my habits and made me more open to alternative methods of working and communicating.
These international experiences also helped me become more confident. Working abroad requires a certain degree of independence, adaptability and willingness to communicate even when you are outside your comfort zone. I learned that there is not necessarily one correct way to approach a project or solve a problem. Different cultures and professional environments can offer different perspectives, and learning to recognise their value is something I consider extremely important. These experiences made me more comfortable in international environments and strengthened my desire to continue building connections beyond my own country.
I decided to apply for EYE after a friend who had already participated told me about her experience. Her experience made me curious about the program and about the possibility of meeting so many young people from different countries and backgrounds. However, my motivation is not simply to have another international experience. I am currently at an important moment in my professional life and I am looking for opportunities that can help me grow, challenge myself and potentially give a new direction to my career. I believe EYE could be particularly valuable because it combines international exchange, collaboration, ideas and personal development.
In the future, I would like to build something of my own and develop a professional identity that is recognisable and connected to my interests. I would like to create projects that bring together architecture, art and design, while also working with festivals, museums and cultural institutions. I am especially interested in interdisciplinary projects because I believe that the most interesting ideas often emerge when people with different skills and perspectives work together. I would like to be part of this kind of environment and eventually create my own projects and collaborations within it.
For this reason, I see EYE as an opportunity to develop skills that will be important for my future. In particular, I would like to improve my networking, leadership and collaboration skills. Building an independent professional path requires more than technical knowledge and creativity. It requires the ability to communicate ideas, establish relationships, work with different people and create a network around a project. I would like to learn how to transform professional contacts into meaningful collaborations and how to take a more active role in developing and leading projects.
Networking is particularly important to me because I believe that creative work is rarely the result of one person working alone. A successful exhibition, festival or cultural project can involve architects, designers, artists, curators, technicians, institutions and many other professionals. EYE would give me the opportunity to meet people from different countries and disciplines and to understand how they approach their own interests and professional ambitions. I hope these encounters could inspire me, broaden my perspective and potentially lead to future collaborations.
I also believe that I can contribute to EYE through my own experience and point of view. As an architect working with exhibitions, installations, events and cultural projects, I can bring a creative and practical perspective to conversations and collaborations. My professional experience has taught me how to develop ideas while also dealing with real constraints, deadlines and teamwork. I would be happy to share what I have learned, but I am equally interested in listening to other participants and understanding their experiences. I believe that meaningful exchange happens when everyone contributes something and remains open to learning.
On a human level, I hope EYE will make me more aware of my role in Europe and more prepared to collaborate with people who have different backgrounds from mine. My experiences in Brussels, Rotterdam and Köln already showed me how valuable international environments can be, but I would like to take this further. I want to return from EYE with a broader understanding of Europe, new relationships, new ideas and greater confidence in my ability to participate in an international community.
Ultimately, I see EYE as an opportunity to connect the different aspects of my personal and professional journey: my background in architecture, my passion for art and design, my experience with cultural projects, my previous international experiences and my ambition to build something of my own. I do not expect EYE to provide a single answer about my future. Instead, I hope it will give me new questions, perspectives and possibilities. I want to meet people who challenge my way of thinking, exchange ideas and discover opportunities that I may not yet have considered.
I believe that personal and professional growth comes from stepping outside familiar environments and being willing to learn from others. This is what I would like to do at EYE. I want to challenge myself, strengthen my ability to collaborate and develop the confidence to take initiative. At the same time, I want to contribute my own experience and perspective to the community. For me, participating in EYE would therefore not simply mean attending an event; it would mean taking another step towards becoming a more open, independent and internationally minded professional, capable of creating meaningful projects with people from different disciplines and backgrounds.
