My Experience at AmoraFilms: My First Two Weeks
My name is Rocco Gargiulo, and I am passionate about the audiovisual sector. My academic background includes a Master’s in Audiovisual Content and Formats and a degree in Executive Production.
I have always been interested in audiovisual production, especially in project management and coordination. I am motivated by the challenge of transforming ideas into audiovisual realities, whether in film, television, or new digital formats. Moreover, my experience as a Community Manager and Social Media Manager has allowed me to understand the importance of communication in the industry and how audiovisual content can impact audiences. In this sense, my passion is not only focused on production but also on the strategy of disseminating and promoting audiovisual projects.
I decided to participate in the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs (EYE) program because I wanted to broaden my horizons and gain experience in an international environment. The opportunity to carry out this stay at AmoraFilms came at the perfect time, as I was looking for a space where I could develop my skills in executive production while getting a closer look at how a company in the sector operates in a different context than what I was used to. Additionally, the recommendation of colleagues who had participated in EYE and their enriching experiences further motivated me to take this step. My desire to immerse myself in a professional environment that would allow me to combine my knowledge with new working methodologies also played a significant role.
These first two weeks at AmoraFilms have been an incredibly enriching experience both professionally and personally. From day one, I have been involved in project planning and management, gaining a deeper understanding of the production dynamics of a company specializing in audiovisual content. Interacting with professionals with extensive industry experience has allowed me to learn firsthand about the different production phases and the strategies required for a successful audiovisual project. Furthermore, I have observed how the company adapts to changes in the industry and how creative and logistical challenges are tackled in each project.
On a personal level, this experience has allowed me to meet people with different backgrounds and perspectives, enriching my vision of the sector. Working in an international environment is helping me improve my communication skills, adaptability, and problem-solving abilities. Undoubtedly, this stay is strengthening my professional profile and expanding my future opportunities in the audiovisual world.
I am very excited about what lies ahead in the coming weeks and about continuing to grow in this experience. Without a doubt, participating in EYE and being part of AmoraFilms is proving to be a great decision that will mark a turning point in my professional career.
