My name is Roberta Lapolla, I am 27 years old and I come from Italy. I studied Modern Languages at La Sapienza University in Rome, which gave me a strong passion for cultures and communication. After my degree, I moved to Bordeaux for an ESC, and that experience changed everything. I have always loved France, its culture, its creative energy and its way of blending art and business, and living there confirmed that this was the right place for me. Staying was not a difficult choice, it felt like the most natural thing to do.I now live in Paris, a city that inspires me every day and perfectly matches my passion for the creative world: branding, visual communication, storytelling and design. My biggest dream is to open my own creative studio, and thanks to my host entrepreneur, I am already working to make it happen. Every day I learn something new and I feel closer to the person and the professional I want to become.
I decided to apply to EYE because it feels like the perfect experience at the perfect time. I heard about it through people I met in Matera who had already done it, and their enthusiasm genuinely convinced me.
This is not my first experience abroad, which gives me a greater ease in adapting, connecting with new people and navigating different environments. In this period of strong professional growth, I feel the need to keep building my path in Paris, and EYE feels like the natural next step after my ESC, the right leap to take before fully entering the professional world.
I truly believe this experience will help me grow, both as a professional and as a person. Working closely with an entrepreneur while developing my own project is an incredible opportunity to learn in a real and concrete way. At the same time, meeting young people from all over Europe who share the same ambitions and the same questions will push me to think bigger and go further.
Paris is the perfect place for this, a city where creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship constantly meet. For me, EYE is not just a programme, it is a turning point.
