My name is Rita, I am 26 years old and I come from Altamura, a land of strong traditions that taught me the value of “know-how.” My academic path has been guided by a deep passion for creation and planning: I earned both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Industrial Design. For me, design is not just aesthetics, but a synthesis of form, function, and human needs. During my studies, I learned to observe objects and processes with a critical eye, always looking for ways to improve people’s daily experiences through innovative solutions.
My interests focus on material sustainability and ergonomics, but I also bring with me that warmth and relational ability typical of my Apulian roots. I do not consider myself just a technical designer; I see myself as a researcher of beauty and utility, always ready to get my hands dirty to understand how an idea can become a tangible product capable of telling a story. After my master’s degree, I felt the need to face a dynamic and cutting-edge international market. The choice fell on the Netherlands almost naturally: for those involved in Industrial Design, this country represents a global benchmark for innovation and a conceptual approach to projects.
The final push came from the curiosity to see how a design studio or company is managed abroad. I wanted to understand how creative vision blends with economic feasibility and client management in a context different from the Italian one. More than the advice of a colleague, it was a personal challenge: the desire to test myself, to speak a different language, and to breathe the air of one of the most advanced entrepreneurial ecosystems in Europe. The person hosting me, my Host Entrepreneur, has proven to be an extraordinary figure. From the very first moment, they showed a helpfulness and cordiality that erased all my hesitations. I believe this experience will contribute decisively to my growth. Professionally, I am learning to apply my technical skills in Industrial Design according to international standards, refining my working method. I will return with an enriched baggage of technical skills, but above all with a network of relationships and a much broader vision of the world.
