Hello! My name is Piotr, and I have turned my passion for sports and travel into a career path, which I now aim to expand internationally. I graduated from the Academy of Physical Education in Warsaw, choosing this field of study as a natural step toward achieving my dreams. Since childhood, I have been involved in various sports disciplines, which not only shaped my character but also helped me understand how crucial physical activity is for quality of life.
During my studies, I obtained instructor qualifications in tennis, windsurfing, and snowboarding. Working in this profession allowed me to meet people from various cultures and backgrounds—both during classes in Poland and abroad. My second passion is traveling. From every trip, I take away something new: inspiration, friendships, and most importantly, memories that stay with me for a lifetime. I have visited many countries, including exotic destinations such as India and Bangladesh, which taught me openness and humility towards the diversity of the world.
After finishing my studies, I developed a business idea—organizing thematic sports trips. I believe that physical activity combined with a well-planned journey can provide participants with not only entertainment but also tangible health and emotional benefits. Through my work as an instructor, I gained experience in conducting sessions at various skill levels. However, I knew that to grow my business, I needed to learn more about organization, marketing, and budget management.
The idea gained importance when I started noticing market needs. During conversations with clients, I realized that many companies are looking for original team-building trips for their employees—trips that go beyond mere entertainment and contribute to improved communication, creativity, relationship building, and workplace motivation. Sports activities like tennis or snowboarding naturally bring people together, allowing for a better understanding of group dynamics and the development of soft skills.
Why EYE? I learned about the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs program from a friend who had participated in it. I was inspired by his story about how he gained practical experience in business management and built international contacts. I had previously taken part in a school-level Erasmus exchange—visiting Lithuania and Malta—and the connections made during those trips are still cherished today. Now, as an adult and aspiring entrepreneur, I wanted to seize this opportunity to learn from more experienced business owners and test my business idea in a different cultural environment.
The First Days of the EYE Program I currently live in Pozo Izquierdo on Gran Canaria, where I am collaborating with my host, the owner of a windsurfing center, Fanatic the Boarders Center Gran Canaria. This place is not only famous for its excellent wind conditions but also attracts international enthusiasts of water sports.
Deciding to embark on this journey was exciting, but it also came with a bit of stress—especially during packing and handling formalities. Moving to a new country always brings a mix of emotions: excitement, curiosity, and a touch of uncertainty. From the very first days, however, I could count on the support of my mentor.
I spent the first two weeks learning about the daily operations of his business. I participated in trip planning, observed how locations are selected, and how relationships with clients are built. Each day brought new challenges—from learning reservation systems to analyzing marketing strategies. The most valuable moments, however, were the conversations where I learned how to overcome challenges that small businesses may face.
I was also pleasantly surprised by the warm reception I received from local collaborators. Within just a few days, I felt like part of the team, which only strengthened my belief that such international cooperation can open up endless possibilities for growth.
Expectations and Goals I hope that the EYE program will help me develop skills in planning, negotiations, and project management. I also look forward to establishing valuable business contacts that will bear fruit in the future. Most importantly, with each passing day, I gain greater confidence as an entrepreneur.
I already know that participating in this program is one of the best decisions of my life. Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs not only broadens horizons but also helps break barriers and discover new possibilities.
