I always dreamed of having my own company. Even in my student years, I knew that it would be realized sooner or later. In 2016, I entered a higher educational institution for visual communication, and in 2019, I started studying for a master’s degree in Graphic Design and New Media. While studying at the university, I already had some design orders from acquaintances, and after finishing my master’s degree, I started working in a marketing agency as a Graphic Designer. It was a good experience for me, an opportunity to learn about the internal processes of the agency, but it was time to move on.

If you have an idea, you need to implement it, because it can leave you and go to someone else. So I started reading a lot, googling, finding information about where to start my business, as an open firm, what taxes exist and how to optimize them. What are the opportunities for newcomers? Where can I find finance support for the company? How to learn all this?

That’s how I found out about the EYE project.
I called the coordinator, who told me everything in detail.
I submitted an application.

3 days and 2 nights. My business plan was ready.

I dreamed of living in a warm country in autumn and winter. Here – I meet autumn here – in Italy. In the mountains. A small village of Anzi with very friendly people who became my friends in 2 weeks. I work as a graphic designer in a planetarium. Who would have thought. Now, during the day we work in the office, and at night we look at the sky through a telescope. I have never seen such a big moon before. I help businesses with their visual part, the design of marketing materials for print, social media and website design.
In the first two weeks, we developed an informational brochure for schools to encourage young people to visit the planetarium, take an interest in astronomy, and travel around the Basilicata region.

In addition to my professional design skills, I feel that I am developing here as a person. Before starting the program, I took a few additional English lessons to feel confident in conversation, and here in Italy – I started learning Italian as well.
The Erasmus for Young Entertainers project is also an opportunity to make new acquaintances, friends, and useful contacts, explore another culture and expand your horizons for future cooperation, business and life in general.

I am sure that this experience will remain in my memory forever
