My name is Marcelina Piskozub, and I am a young architect with a Master’s degree in Architecture and Urban Planning from Wrocław University of Science and Technology in Poland. I also studied at Politecnico di Milano, where I was exposed to a highly international and dynamic design environment. My academic journey and professional experiences so far have shaped my deep interest in spatial design, particularly in the fields of interior architecture, small-scale design, and sustainable design solutions.

Professionally, I am passionate about the intersection of architecture, interiors, and human behavior. I am especially drawn to projects that combine aesthetics with functionality and environmental responsibility. I am particularly interested in residential and retail spaces, and how well-designed environments can positively impact people’s daily lives. In addition to architecture, I have experience working in visual communication, rendering, and branding, which gives me a broader perspective on design and presentation. My previous experience includes internships in architectural studios in Poland, Spain, as well as teaching fine arts and working in graphic design.

I decided to participate in the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs program because I want to gain a deeper understanding of how a design or architectural studio functions from an entrepreneurial perspective. While studying and working in creative environments has provided me with a strong foundation in design, I now feel the need to learn how to transform that creative vision into a real business. I discovered the EYE program while researching ways to gain business experience in an international setting and was immediately drawn to its collaborative nature and the opportunity to learn directly from experienced professionals. A few of my colleagues had also mentioned the program as a great stepping stone for young creatives wishing to start their own practice, which encouraged me further.

I believe this experience can significantly contribute to both my human and professional development. On a personal level, working closely with a host entrepreneur in a different country can allow me to adapt to a new culture, language, and working style—valuable skills in today’s global design world. Professionally, I hope to better understand project workflows, studio organization, client relations, and sustainable business strategies. I aim to learn not only how to design meaningful spaces but also how to run a studio that is financially and creatively sustainable. This knowledge will be fundamental when I eventually open my own studio in the future.
