My name is Lydiane Monrose. I am an entrepreneur and cultural project manager from French Guiana. After a range of professional experiences in the cultural sector, I founded IPSO, a micro-enterprise offering consulting in cultural cooperation, communication, and cultural project engineering.
My interests sit at the intersection of art, tourism, and Caribbean regional cooperation, driven by one conviction: French Guiana and the Caribbean share a cultural space that remains largely untapped, held back by linguistic and administrative barriers. My ambition is to become a bridge across it.
My application answers a concrete need rather than a wish to travel. Developing cooperation projects from French Guiana, I became aware of how little direct experience I had of how neighbouring cultural organisations actually operate. EYE offered a framework to address that: professional curiosity understanding from the inside how a Caribbean gallery builds its programming and its economic viability, a need for network cooperation is woven, not declared, and the consolidation of my own business, by testing my model against the eye of an experienced entrepreneur rather than working in isolation.
I am currently completing a six-month exchange in Aruba at ArtisA gallery (San Nicolas), where I contribute to the organisation of ArtWeek 2026, the coordination of European volunteers, and the development of management tools.
Professionally, I am gaining method management and communication tools I can transpose directly into my own services, a broader offer through working in a multilingual context, and a network already opening up collaborations between French Guianese and Aruban organisations.
On a human level, leaving your own territory means accepting to become a beginner again: listening before proposing. It teaches me humility and agility, and it gives me the confidence of seeing that my skills travel beyond my home context. In the longer term, I see this experience as the first building block of a genuinely Caribbean consulting practice.
