My name is Ievgeniia Kuznetsova , and I am a psychologist originally from Ukraine. My professional path is focused on psychological counselling, emotional support during crisis situations, and helping people adapt to major life changes.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine, I have worked in Poland with Ukrainian refugees and displaced people. In my practice, I have helped individuals cope with anxiety, stress, the emotional consequences of traumatic experiences, and the challenges of adapting to a new country. This work is especially meaningful to me because I come from Donbas and have also experienced displacement myself. As a result, I understand not only the professional aspects of this field but also the personal emotions and challenges people face when they are forced to rebuild their lives in new circumstances.

Psychology is not only my profession but also one of my greatest interests. I enjoy reading, continuous learning, exploring new psychological approaches, and expanding my professional knowledge. I am inspired by travelling and discovering different cultures, as every new experience helps me better understand people’s stories, values, and ways of overcoming life’s challenges. I am also working on my own book.

I decided to participate in the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs programme because I wanted to gain international experience and develop a deeper understanding of how refugee support is organised across different European countries. It was important for me to learn from an organisation that helps Ukrainians adapt to life in a new country and to better understand the processes of integration and social support.

My collaboration with Amigos de Ucrania Association in Alicante allows me to observe the organisation’s work from within, exchange experience, and contribute professionally through psychological consultations. I am particularly interested in learning about different approaches to supporting people who have experienced forced displacement and seeing how psychological assistance can contribute to successful adaptation and improved well-being.

I believe that participating in the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs programme will be an important step in both my professional and personal development. The knowledge and experience I gain will help me better understand the needs of displaced people, develop new psychological support initiatives, and provide more effective assistance to those facing difficult life situations.
