My name is Federico and I recently completed a Master’s degree in Modern Languages for Communication and International Cooperation at the University of Padua, after earning a Bachelor’s degree in Languages, Literatures and Intercultural Mediation. Throughout my academic journey, I have developed a strong interest in languages, intercultural communication, translation, and international cooperation. These fields have always fascinated me because they allow people from different backgrounds to connect, exchange ideas, and work together towards common goals.

One of my greatest strengths is my multilingual profile. Besides my native Italian, I speak English, German, Spanish, and Portuguese. Learning and using different languages has allowed me to better understand diverse cultures and perspectives, strengthening both my communication and interpersonal skills. During my studies, I had the opportunity to work on translation and intercultural communication projects, which helped me develop attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to adapt messages to different audiences and cultural contexts.

I decided to participate in the EYE programme because I have always been interested in gaining international experience and stepping outside my comfort zone. Since the beginning of my university studies, I have been attracted by opportunities that combine learning, cultural exchange, and professional development. Working and living abroad represents an important opportunity to challenge myself, meet people from different cultural backgrounds, and develop both personally and professionally. I was also attracted by the possibility of learning directly from experienced professionals while contributing to meaningful projects in a European environment. Furthermore, I believe that mobility experiences are one of the best ways to gain a broader understanding of Europe and its cultural diversity.

I believe that this experience can make a significant contribution to my personal and professional growth. On a personal level, it allows me to become more independent, adaptable, and open-minded. Living in a different country requires flexibility, resilience, and the ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds. These are qualities that are valuable not only in everyday life but also in any professional context.

On a professional level, this experience gives me the opportunity to strengthen my project management, communication, organisational, and teamwork skills while gaining practical experience in an international environment. It also allows me to apply the knowledge acquired during my studies to real situations and to better understand how international cooperation projects are developed and implemented. Furthermore, it helps me build a valuable professional network, improve my intercultural competences, and gain insights that will be useful for my future career.

Overall, I see this experience as an important step in my career path and as a unique opportunity to combine my passion for languages, intercultural communication, and international cooperation with practical, real-world experience. I am convinced that the EYE programme will help me grow both as a professional and as a person, while providing me with skills, knowledge, and connections that will continue to benefit me long after the experience has ended.
