I am Evelina Menghini, a young italian girl with fashion studies background, and some experiences in Design, Marketing and Sales in artisanal and luxury fields. In 2024, after graduating and exploring artisany in medium/little businesses, I started to get close to tailor made and flamenco sectors. My journey with flamenco and Spain started on September 2024, with the experience at the atelier of Inma Benicio, a flamenco designer based in Cordoba.
After this experience, focused on flamenco clothing, I understood how much the whole world of flamenco is important to me, and how much it will be important in my future business. So coming back to Italy I immediately looked for a way to come back to Andalucia, and to continue my experience in this sector.
My curiosity drove me to Erasmus + Enterpreneurs platform, I liked very much the idea of the platform, since it allows me to continue working in my sector, and at the same time to gain experience for the new business that i want to start. Here i got to know NoNiNa Locart, a beautiful small business that works in close contact with local artisans; Bettina, the owner, is a kind young girl completely dedicated to the valorization of Granada art and history, the city where she works in, and with a great costumer care and service. She loves and supports as much as I do local craftmanship.
With her we thinked about a project that can involve local artesans, and most of all enhances flamenco culture, that is a very important part of Granada’s history. the project this time will be focused on flamenco handmade accessories.
The collaboration will be without any doubts a good formative experience; working with Betti and her colleagues will be good to understand how Spanish market works, and to learn new things related to small-medium business.
The experience will allow me to practice and master my spanish, and last but not least it will give me the possibility to meet new people, and to exchange ideas with them, developing my way of thinking and the journey of my project.
